I was worried the 18" minimum would be too tight on my thighs but the adjustment range is actually generous. The satin laces tie smoothly and stay knotted all night, though you do need to double-knot them if you're moving around a lot.
The emerald faux leather has a slight sheen that photographs beautifully. I wore mine over stockings for a date night and the corset-style lacing made my thighs look incredible. Adjusting down to 18" was easy and they stayed put all evening.
The satin laces actually stay tied, which I wasn't expecting from something this decorative. Emerald faux leather has a nice subtle sheen in person, not cheap looking at all. Wore them for a photoshoot and they didn't dig in once.
