The black faux leather falls give a smooth, controlled strike, which is exactly what I wanted for lighter sessions. I was worried the chains would make it too heavy, but they actually balance the whole thing nicely once you get the swing down.

The two silver chain falls add a weight I didn't know I wanted until I tried them. Feels well balanced in the hand and the faux leather gives a nice thud without being too harsh.

The black faux leather falls give a nice smooth thwack on their own, but the chain falls are where it gets real. Only reason it's not five stars is the handle's a bit slick once your hands warm up.
